Le Reve "3-speed" Bullet

I was recently approached by Adult Sensations, a site that has been online for quite a while. I'd been trying to find more sponsors for my blog, so I jumped on this opportunity.

Adult Sensations offers quite a few products, and their main shipping office is in Canada. If you are Canadian they have a Canadian site, but for us US people there is a .com site, as well. They have a nice choice of high, medium, and low priced toys, so they have something to fit your budget.

I got the Le Reve 3-speed Bullet to review for my first item from them. I mainly picked this toy because I really liked the color and it was pretty low in price range.

The box came in the mail quickly, even though it was coming from another country. There was nothing on it stating that it was from a toy company, and even the shipping address was discreet. This is great, especially since my mum and I now share a PO box.

Inside that box was a cardboard box that resembled an envelope. It  had a small image of the toy on the front and the name of the line. On the back it has a larger picture of the toy and two paragraphs about the features. It comes with no additional instructions.

Inside of the cardboard container there's a plastic, clamshell package holding the toy and the three batteries it comes with. You should use a bit of caution opening this, as the bullet tries to escape.

The bullet itself is really only good for external stimulation. The small tip fits nicely on the clitoris, but it's also good to use on the nipples or a willing penis. This toy is not very good for vaginal insertion and would be AWFUL as far as anal insertion goes. There's pretty much a 100% chance this would get lost up there, and that's not an ER visit you want to make.

I also have an image of the bullet VS my Mia, a higher quality toy that does cost a bit more. I used it because it's a pretty common toy, and will helpfully let people get a better feel for the toy.

This bullet is listed as having 3 speeds, but I've only found that it has one.I tried switching the order and orientation of the batteries, holding the button down, etc. and nothing could get me more than one setting. On a side note, there's nothing on the packaging that says it has 3 speeds, so it may be the site that was misinformed.

The one setting I can get to is pretty strong. It's strong enough that I wish it had a weaker, 'warm up' setting, but I'm also a power wimp.  It's quiet enough that it won't be heard through the door or over the shower, and if you have some background noise like a fan or traffic it can't be heard across the room.

This toy is  100% waterproof. This makes it great to take into the shower or bath, and also makes it very easy to clean. There aren't any ridges or textures that make this tough to clean, you just wipe it and go.

You can wash this toy with soap and water or an antibacterial toy cleaner. Because of the smooth plastic you can easily get away with only washing it after each use. To disinfect this toy you should wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution.

In total, this toy isn't awesome, but it doesn't rock. The only thing that makes it stand out in my book is that it comes in my favorite color. If you want something cheap to introduce into a relationship, are looking for a travel toy you won't mind losing, or are looking for a bullet to replace one that broke this might be an okay option.

Studio Collection Sexy Secret Bullet

The second product that the fellas over at Body Jungle sent me to try was the Studio Collection Sexy Secret Bullet. This toy came in the same box as the A:Muse massager by Lifestyles, which was a plain, brown package with a nondescript label. There's no markings to let anyone know what you've ordered, which is always a great plus for a company.

When you pull this toy out of the box, it comes in a black package with the name of the product and the brand on it. This isn't the most discreet, but it doesn't have any lewd sayings or naked women on it, either. This packaging isn't really resealable, so it's not ideal for storage.

The front has a clear area where you can see the compact, though it's just black so it's fairly discreet. It states that it's a "Sexy Secrets Compact," the name of the line, and the name of the brand. If someone only sees the front of the box it's hard to tell what it is.

The back of the box features and image of the compact and the vibrator, and a lot of text telling you about it. It talks about the functions, how long you get on a set of batteries, the fact that it's waterproof, and tells the buyer that it comes with extra batteries.

The compact, that seems to match the theme of this entire line, is entirely made of shiny, black plastic. There is a red emblem on the front that stated the brand and the name of the line, along with a red and white decal. If someone looks closely at what this says they're going to get suspicious, but if this is just out on the counter it's going to blend in well.

It's about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide, and it's about an inch thick at the deepest area. It's a nice size to slip into a purse or drawer, though it's a bit larger than most compacts I carry around with me. If someone REALLY gets curious and opens it to only find a mirror they might be skeptical of why it's so thick.

When you open the case up, there is a small mirror in the top part that is pretty functional as a normal compact. It's okay to check your make up in, though it doesn't magnify your reflection like some compacts offer. My main complain is that it just is a bit... Off. Off in the way that if you look at your full reflection for more than a few minutes it feels like you're going cross eyed.

You lift up the mirror part in order to access the bullet and extra batteries. The vibrator and batteries are held in a black, plastic insert. If you tip it upside down they don't stay in the insert, so you really should keep/open this right side up.

My main issue with this case is that it doesn't stay closed. It's loose and pops open even without me touching it, which leaves the bullet and batteries rolling around my purse. This really defeats the purpose for me. The solution I've found is to keep a hairtie around it. Here's a picture of the mirror and the insert with the bullet in it:

Now the thing is, I didn't really have high hopes for the compact. I already have several quality make up compacts, and I have a tin with a cute bullet in it that is already a great travel toy. I was really only interested in the vibrator itself because it seemed high quality and it offered at least one pattern.

The Sexy Secret Bullet is about two inches long and about one and a half inches around. This is a pretty standard size for a toy like this. If you hold it for a prolonged period of time it may cause your fingers to get tired because of the small size, but it's also a lot more convenient and easy to store because of that. Power wise, this thing is better than a few larger toys I have (See the A:Muse massager I reviewed last) and I think that it should be enough for most women. On high I would say it's about a 3.5/5 in power and a 1.5/5 in noise level.

You control the this toy by pressing the small red button on the base. When you press it once it turns on, as you continue pressing it it cycles through the settings, and then once you cycle through the settings it turns off.  The settings are as follows

1) Low
2) Medium
3) High

The fourth pattern is REALLY odd, and it repeats itself at least after five minutes. It's really nice to see a 'random' pattern that really is that random, and it's something that I tip my hat to Screaming O for doing. If you're interested in something like that, this is a cheap way to try it.

The Screaming O bullet is also entirely waterproof, which is awesome news for those of us who like to play in the shower. You can see the red o-ring in the image below that seals when you screw the base on to keep all water out of the battery compartment:

Another awesome feature I want to point out is that if you remove the cap and revolve it 90 degrees, then press the base down it becomes 'travel locked. You can easily take the cap off again and set it right, but the toy won't turn on at all when it's set like this.

Overall? This is a super quality vibrator with really crap packaging and storage. Unless you want to keep a rubber band around the compact, I wouldn't put money on it staying closed while in your purse, or even in a drawer.

I would HIGHLY recommend this product for the bullet, because it's strong, quiet, waterproof, a good material, and it has such a neat pattern. Pinups Bullet and Balm Review

The people at Babeland were kind enough to send me a neat little set even though it wasn't on their 'review' list. I have been oogoling these tins for a while because they're just adorable, and I was so stoked at the opportunity to get one for free. So here it is, the Pinups Bullet + Bombshell Balm!

This set comes in a cute, metal tin. There are three different images to choose from, but the set I got is called "Ruby." The image on the front is of an old-fashioned pin up shot. It's of a brunette putting on a garter skirt and wearing nothing else but heels and a bra. Even though it's a bit showy, I still feel like the pin up style makes it classy enough to carry around in your purse.

The tin is about 3 inches long and 4 inches tall, and it's about 1 inch thick. If you wanted to take the foam insert out you could easily keep cigarettes, makeup, condoms, candies, or whatever else you want to take with you in here.

This set comes with three things inside it: a bullet, a tin of orgasm balm, and an extra battery. They are all nestled in a foam insert. If you shake it they do rattle around a little bit inside of it, but the lid is sturdy enough that you can toss this in a bag and not worry about the parts getting separated.

The vibrator itself is bright red and super pretty. It's a bit iridescent in the right lighting, and I feel like it will really appeal to the women in your life who like glitzy things a lot. It's about 3 inches long, which seems to be fairly standard when it comes to cordless bullets like this.

The bullet has 3 settings and they are all controlled by the push button base. This makes it easy to control, but it also may be easy to change the setting if you're using the back of the bullet to put pressure where you need it. It has 3 settings that are as follows:

Low: 1/5 on volume, 2/5 on power
Medium: 1.5/5 on volume, 2.5/5 on power
High: 2/5 on volume, 3.5/5 on power

The balm that this comes with this product has really turned me onto arousal products, and as we speak I have a few more that I ordered on the way! When you first apply it there's a "This isn't working" moment, but after it has time to take effect it gives wherever you spread it a light tingling sensation. This is a wonderful combination with the included bullet!

Even though I don't need any more help being sensitive to vibrations, I find that the best way to use this orgasm balm is to wear it out and about. It's not so powerful that you'll be sweating and squirming, but it adds a bit of sexiness to every day activities like driving around.

The ingredients are:

This balm is oil based, so you shouldn't use it with condoms because it can degrade latex. Similarly, this shouldn't be used inside your body because oil can mess up the natural pH of your vagina. Otherwise, this is a sexy way to spice things up! It smells a little bit like sweet cherry, but it just tastes 'tingly.'

Overall, I highly recommend this set. Not only is it gorgeous and does it come in a sweet, retro tin but the contents are spectacular. For the price, this would be wonderful for any woman in your life that you feel would be open to receiving it. (Including yourself!)

La Curve Vibrator Review

Because the guys over at Body Jungle are way too good for me, they actually sent me two toys to review this time instead of one. Not that I'm complaining! The second toy that I found in my box of goodies was the La Curve. It came in the same discreet box as the last toy that I got from them to review, and had nothing on the shipping label or package to indicate that it came from an adult store.

The La Curve vibrator caught my eye because of the interesting looking design and the great material. I thought that it looked like a toy that would work wonderfully with my body, and I was right! The La Curve vibrator consists of a silicone sleeve that you can remove from the bullet to clean, and the bullet itself. The bullet it easy to remove, and the part that sticks out of the toy has a small button on the base and is silver. Here is a picture of me showing off the bullet out of the toy.

The vibrator itself came in a fairly flimsy plastic box. It's got a transparent front where the toy is very visible and it has some basic instructions and information about the toy. While it isn't the most discreet packaging, it has no naked women or lewd sayings on it. I wouldn't hesitate to wrap this toy up and give it as a gift.

The sleeve is made of thick, flexible silicone. In total it's about 6 inches long, but only a bit over 3 inches of those are insertable. At the widest point it's about 3.5 inches around, making it great for those who don't like thick toys. The loop will easily fit one of everyones' finger, but if you have very small fingers you can fit two. 

While this would be pretty intense for anal play, as long as you keep a finger through the loop it would be safe to use it like that. It may be pretty thick, so I would recommend it for more advanced users.

 You can boil the sleeve of this toy if you plan to switch orifices or users to kill bacteria that may be on it, but you can also wipe the whole thing down with a 10% bleach solution to disinfect it. I use an antibacterial toy cleaner to wipe it down after use, but you also can use soap and water.

Something that I really like about this vibrator is that you can use it for light dual stimulation. It's not going to be as intense as a rabbit made for both internal and clitoral stimulation, but it's nice if you don't need intense stimulation on your clit and just want some mild vibrations.

What I really like about this design is that it is much wider at the tip than in the center. This allows for it to be a wonderful g-spotting toy, while it doesn't make me feel 'stretched' when I thrust with it. I also want to point out how flexible the silicone is. Here's an image of the toy itself, showing off the shape a bit, and also a picture showing off the flexibility.

The bullet itself is fairly powerful, but the silicone tends to muffle and dampen the vibrations a bit. There are 7 patterns to this toy and they are as follows:

On high this toy is about a 3/5 in power and a 3/5 in volume. This is about average for toys like this, and it can be heard over the shower but it couldn't be heard through the wall or through a door. I personally think that the patterns are really nice and this would be a good place to start if you're looking to try a toy with a little bit more variety and you don't need extreme power.

If you've decided by now that the La Curve looks like it's worth the low price tag, Body Jungle has a whole basketful of these little guys. If you decide to get one I hope that you like it as much as I like mine! My only qualm is that it's a bit loud and that the vibrations are a bit buzzy. I am now on the lookout for a quieter bullet to slip into this sleeve.

Pleasure Bullet Review

This is not as much a sponsored review as a review of the free Pleasure Bullet by Pipedream that I got for signing up for an Our Naughty Secrets account. Mine is pink, and shiny, and adorable! I also would like to point out that I got it in the mail two days after signing up, so they have super fast and reliable shipping. If anyone was concerned about the discretion of their shipping (as I often am,) here's a picture of their shipping envelope.

The bullet itself came in a nonreclosable blister pack. It's not great for storage, but it serves it's purpose and is a great way to minimize waste and not take up a lot of room in your trash can. While it doesn't state what types of batteries this toy takes, it does tell you that it's waterproof. Just an aside, these would be super cute party favors for an 'adult' themed birthday party or a bachlorette party!

The bullet is made of hard plastic. Plastic is nonporous and is super easy to care for, and if you want to disinfect it you can wipe it down easily with a 10% bleach solution. I've used this in the shower before and submerged it to wash it, and neither time did I find any water in the battery compartment. This vibrator is about 2 inches long.

I was concerned when I got this that I would have to run out and try to find it watch batteries, but I was pleasantly surprised that it already came with them. This toy takes 3 watch batteries that go into the base, which unscrews from the body of the toy.

Bullets are intended up be used externally on the clitoris and nipples, and are great for both solo and couple use. I don't recommend them for anal play or insertion. They're a great way to experiment with sex toys or to introduce them into a relationship. While this is a fairly cheap one, Our Naughty Secrets offers a wode variety of prices and quality on bullet vibrators.

This bullet is controlled by a push button base, which is super easy to press. When you press it, the one setting comes on. When you press it again the setting turns off. If you had this in your purse you may want to take the batteries out because the button may be easy to have accidentally go off in transit.
